Sia Uluibau
Community Service (Junior - 12yrs & under)
When asked what she wanted for her 8th birthday, Sia asked us for money to feed the homeless. She then collected over 40 bags of groceries, spent $50 of her birthday money on more groceries which were all distributed to deserving people in Macquarie Fields. Sia has also worked for the homeless with Shining Stars Foundation.

Kristopher Wells
Community Service (Special Needs)
Kristopher is 14 year old who has low functioning ASD With developmental delay and sensory issues. He is main stream at Robert Townsend High and is a well-loved student who has received a bronze and silver medallion at school. Kristopher is also the troop leader for the scouts special needs unit in Campbelltown.

Hamani Tanginoa
Performing Arts (Individual)
Despite his young years, Hamani is currently undergoing accreditation with Voiceology Australia to become a vocal teacher. With a passion for music and politics, he uses his voice for spreading the word on issues that face young people, especially those who who are Aboriginal or identify as LGBTQI. Hamani also teaches vocals and Musical Theatre.

Fisher's Ghost Youth Orchestra
Performing Arts (Group)
The Fisher’s Ghost Youth Orchestra aims to promote the musical development of young people in Macarthur by providing opportunity to motivate and inspire students through participation in regular performances and regular school holiday workshops that are open to the public. The orchestra regularly performs at community events across the region.

Amira Conlon
Performing Arts (Special Needs)
Amira has autism, a moderate intellectual disability, a large genetic deletion, Dandy Walker syndrome and ongoing health issues. Dancing since the age of two, she always tries her best and practices very hard so she can be like everyone else. She l has entered local Eisteddfod’s in a special needs section, winning first places and leaving many of the audience in tears!

Sophie Harris
Fine Arts
Sophie is the youngest member of the Macarthur Photographic Society. She has twice been a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran National Photography Competition and a National Finalist in YHL Photography Competition. In June this year Camden Council have sponsored her to host her first Photography Exhibition at the Art House Café, with all proceeds donated to PAWS Pet Therapy.

Joel Rush
Sports (Individual)
As a promising wicketkeeper batsman, Joel has been selected for the NSW Emerging Blues Academy for three consecutive years and the All Schools NSW 15s Squad to compete at the Nationals. From the U15s Nationals Joel has been invited to tour the UK with an invitational cricket squad which departs next month. He currently attends SEDA College, an elite sports college.

Airds Lyrebirds

Following a very difficult period playing above their level, the Airds Lyrebirds surprised everyone by bouncing back to win the 2018 CDNA U13s C division grand final, beating the undefeated team. They have played night netball together for 3-4 years as a team and are looking forward to a great year ahead.

Chelsea Palmer

At last year’s Special Olympics national games held in Victoria, Chelsea was the only gymnast to return home with 5 gold medals making her the all round level 2 special Olympics champion. Chelsea was then selected to be a part of the Australian team that went to Abu Dhabi in March this year, where she achieved 2nd overall level 2 world silver medallist in gymnastics.

Mitchell is an outstanding student at Campbelltown Performing Arts High School. His assessment results are of a consistently high standard; for Semester One of Yr 12, he has achieved 1st or 2nd place in 5 out of 6 subjects including 1st place in all levels of Mathematics.

Nathaniel Plummer
Leadership (Junior - 12yrs & under)
Nathaniel has worked hard for 3 years at 1st Leumeah Cub Scouts to achieve the Grey Wolf Award, which is the highest award in Cub Scouts. From the skills learnt in Scouting, Nathaniel became a student leader at Leumeah Public School in 2019, where he continues to take pride in the uniform he wears and other children look up to him as a role model student.

Harley has demonstrated his leadership at school through mentoring programs for both indigenous and disadvantaged boys, landscaping, general assistance to the Grounds Assistant and as a member of the Bro Speak program aimed at Indigenous boys that need male role models.

For one so young, Cameron’s passion and enthusiasm for our local wildlife is impressive. He enjoys taking others with him on bushwalks to teach them about wildlife. Indiana Jackson
Technology & Innovation
Indiana developed a “Find-a-Friend” button system, to fight loneliness at school. The system works when a student presses the button. If another student has also pressed the button, the system flashes green, and the two students can meet at a “friend station.” If another student hasn’t pressed the button, the nearest teacher is alerted instead. Indiana has ambitions of this system being rolled out across the state.

Wild Card Encouragement Award
Gravity Stone are a progressive rock band established in 2017. Its members are Daniel Osborne, Rory Moylan, Harrison, Robbie Cotterell & Matt Bryant. All the members of the band are under the age of 18 yet musically beyond their years. They all met at School of Rock Macarthur. The band has just released a 4 track EP entitled, UNFURLED.
