Generations in motion
An inclusive initiative bringing seniors and youth together through free engaging, creative activities
Celebrating seniors
When ages meet, communities move
Generations in Motion is a Rainbow Crossing Inc. initiative that brings seniors and young people together in a spirit of creativity, friendship, and care. At its heart, the program tackles loneliness by building genuine intergenerational connections.
Through art, music, storytelling, and digital skills, seniors and youth learn from each other, sharing wisdom, laughter, and new experiences. Movement workshops like Dancing My Voice spark joy and self-expression, while hands-on activities such as knitting blankets and packing meals foster purpose and community pride.
The result is powerful: older adults feel valued, connected, and active; young people discover empathy and leadership; and together they create bonds that outlast the program.
Proudly supported by the NSW Government and held in partnership with PAMAI – Philippine Australian Multicultural Association, Al Faisal College Campbgelltown & Macarthur Women’s Coffee Club, Generations in Motion is about more than workshops. It’s about building a stronger, kinder community, one relationship at a time.
Minister commends the program
We were honoured to welcome The Hon Jodie Harrison MP, Minister for Women, Seniors and the Prevention of Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, together with Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound and so many friends to celebrate Generations in Motion.
The inclusive program brings seniors and youth together through free creative activities, sharing stories, art, meals, music, and laughter while building real connections that combat loneliness. This showcase wrapped up our Dancing My Voice segment, where participants explored movement and self-expression through the grace of Bharatnatyam, beautifully led by Aruna Gandhi.
Minister Harrison commended the program for its creative approach and visible impact.
